A quote from Mary Ann Ybarra, sister of homicide victim, Robert Ybarra
"On behalf of the Ybarra family we would like to extend our appreciation to the Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation. I believe that the reward provided by the foundation played a key part in the capture of one of the perpetrators responsible for the violent death of my younger brother. Society has one less criminal on the street. Now we pray to God that the other perpetrator is captured soon and brought to justice. My family is very grateful to have found such an organization that helps families that are victimized by criminals."
Thank you,
Mary Ann Ybarra
Niece of Robert Ybarra Jr.
On March 7, 1999, my uncle Robert Ybarra Jr. was murdered. He was 22 years old. Bobby was a respectable young man who took pride in taking care of his mother ( my grandmother) who suffers from Parkinson's Disease. There were four assailants responsible for his murder, two of which were caught within one week. The other two fugitives were on the run until the The Sund/Carrington Foundation stepped in to help.
Due to the reward, during a period of less than a month one of the assailants was caught!! I cannot express how grateful I am for this foundation, with their help not only was one of the assailants caught but the peace of mind knowing there is one less criminal on the streets is overwhelming.
Due to their generosity I feel I must show my gratitude towards the Sund/Carrington families and the foundation. So, in return I am doing a fund-raiser in which I am promoting the C.D. that was originally transformed from a poem written by Regina Sund during her mother and sister's disappearance.
Sincerely,
Tina Cantu
